Well I must apologize for such a late health update….. it is hard to believe that
Christmas and New Year have passed.
It has been a very difficult time for me. The new trial turned out to be too
complicated as the side effects were intolerable – nausea, vomiting, diarrhea,
heartburn, anemia and jaundice. Yes there was growth which put pressure on the
bile duct which caused jaundice. I got a stent put in last week and the jaundice is
clearing up. I will be getting a blood transfusion on Tuesday to rectify the anemia.
Needless to say I am off the trial.
I will be resuming my old regime starting on Jan. 22nd between Roswell Park and the
Juravinski Centre. I am hoping to gain some strength and confidence to cope with
that regime.
I wish I had better news to start the New Year with. There are not any other
developments. I will keep you posted on a more regular basis.
