Hello everyone!! I just realized it has been too long since my last update. So for my
last chemo treatment in Hamilton I asked the doctor to reduce the dosage for two of
the drugs. Upon his review, he realized he had “cranked” up my dosage a couple of
months ago but didn’t tell me. No wonder it has been difficult for me to shake all
those infections, etc. Anyhow, the result is that I feel like myself. I have the energy
for workouts and mentally feel stronger.
The L3 committee met this week to plan events for the spring and summer. Details and
dates are still in the works but there will be an update in that department soon. Of
course, my DM team is on board with a few ideas.
I am still working with my lawyer on my appeal. As well, I am exploring a few other
avenues to obtain funding for Erbitux.
Last week, the St. Catharines Standard published an article on me. It was written very
well and I am pleased to know that they will be a series of stories that will focus on
the different aspects of my life and the challenges of cancer. I truly hope that my
experience can benefit others. I have received lots of positive feedback and have
been able to assist others in obtaining Erbitux.
Overall, it has been a good start to 2006 and I am excited about the events and
possibilities that this year holds.
