What a beautiful day! The sunshine feels great!! Well… I had a good week of
treatment. There were some delays in Hamilton but it all got sorted out. My port is
working well and I feel relatively well considering it was my heavy week of drugs.
However, the throat infection has returned and I am back on antibiotics for that.
The National Post photographed me yesterday and the story should run early next
week. I also heard from Peter Downs and the next story in the Standard series should
run next weekend.
I was able to do some research on new drugs and made contact with a leading
oncologist, Dr. Judah Folkman, who started the investigation into anti angio genesis
thirty years ago. I called his office on Thursday and he called me back that afternoon!!
I was surprised and so grateful for his information. I am looking into a drug called
Endostarr which is similar to Endostatin. It is manufactured in China and I will be
figuring out how to purchase this drug and have it here. Attached to this update is an
article from the Wall Street Journal outlining the details of this drug. I am very excited
about this opportunity and look forward to the challenge of securing it.
