Happy belated Canada Day!! It is so great to have summer here even though it is hot!!!
So let’s start with the good news…
I was re-approved for three more months of Erbitux. Yeah!! As well, when I had
treatment last week in Hamilton, my CEA level was back down to almost when I started
Erbitux. This means that the drug continues to work…. Another yeah!!! I am staying
committed to this regime – no breaks – and trying to focus on fun, eating well and
some exercise. I am getting there…
Also, I did another Critical Illness insurance presentation that went really well. A DVD is
in the works and should be taping soon…. A big yeah!!!
The challenging news includes waiting on a response from OHIP regarding the appeal
yet still moving forward with contingency plans. It is going to be a long process and I
am trying to let it all go!!!
In the meantime,…. The third annual Summer Lovin’ is set for Aug. 25th at Coppola’s
Banquet Hall in St. Catharines. It is a country and western theme party called
“Giddyup Y’all”. It will be a great night of dancing, prizes, raffles, silent auction and
socializing… tickets will be available next week.
A volleyball tournament is tentatively set for Aug. 20th… details to follow…
As well, an article should be printed in the St. Catharines Standard sometime this
week…
So all is good and things are moving in the right direction!!!!
