Update July 28, 2007

Here it is … the end of July already.  As per usual, no dull moments nor simple
procedures for the steps following the sirspheres. As a follow-up to the sirspheres,
The issue of the lymph nodes which had grown into the stent and surrounding ideas
needed to be addressed! On Tuesday,  July 19  I went to the Juravinski to a get a
biliary stunt put in. that went well, however I developed uncontrollable shaking, a
fever and  teeth jittering. They decided to keep me over night to discover the
problem.

Two days later, in isolation, we still don’t know what the problem was.  Finally late
Thursday night I was free at last – well free enough to go upstairs to the ward.  All the
cultures arrived back that day and everything was sorted.  There was only one culture
– bile duct which happened to be positive.  I just finished the antibiotics, so I am
definitely gaining more strength.  Sleeping and the lack of still gives me grief.

I am trying to get out more and feel more engaged in life.

A huge THANKS to all those people who came to the hospital.

Please send me some encouragement and patience as we begin the appeal for erbitux
and sirsphe.
