I am deeply sorry that it has taken me so long to do an update. Life has been turned
upside down and I am trying to get my feet grounded again.
My father passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2007. Our whole family pulled
together for a celebration of his life and a later scattering of his ashes. THANK YOU to
all those people who visited, dropped food off, sent cards, made a donation, made a
phone call. We are still so overwhelmed with how many lives my dad’s life touched.
Last week marked my return to chemo. I am on erbitux and cpt 11. I am on a reduced
dosage of the cpt 11 as I am having some jaundice issues. I will be going for radiation
soon to try to alleviate the pressure of the tumours that is causing the jaundice. This
will be happening at Princess Margaret Hospital.
I am glad to be on the routine of chemo but this is the last known option for me. I will
be re-evaluated in a month and that carries a lot of weight for my future.
As usual, I ask you that you keep my in your prayers and send positive energy my way.
Especially at this time, I ask that you include my family in those prayers.
