Update Sept 14, 2007

Good morning everyone! It is my last day of a five day cycle for radiation. I have been
driving back and forth (through the kindness of friends and families chauffeuring) to
Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.  I am getting external beam radiation on the
liver in hopes of relieving some of the pressure these tumours are putting on my biliary
tree.  Right now I am jaundiced.

Next week, I will only get erbitux and take a break from chemo. The following week is
big – I see Dr. Fakih at Roswell who will give me feedback on whether erbitux is
working or not. Then I will get a CT scan to get the full  picture.  So this means I
better get a back up plan in place just in case.

I am surprised at how well I feel during this radiation experience.  My appetite has
increased, energy level is better and I am sleeping better.  I really mentally do well on
some kind of treatment.  I hope next week isn’t a crash after this good week.

PLEASE GO TO THIS WEBSITE :
NOMOREWAITING.INFO and sign a petition about
receiving the same level of cancer care that B.C. enjoys.  We are running this
campaign in hopes of making it an election issue.  As well, tune in on Tuesday, Sept.
18th as we are doing a press conference at Queen’s Park about this campaign. Your
support is appreciated.

Again, thank you to people who continue to donate to my trust fund in memory of my
father. This gives me such relief because it opens up options in the U.S..

Have a great weekend
