Hello. Well, yesterday was a very difficult day. Unfortunately, the surgeon has
declined the surgery option due to diseased lymph nodes near the aorta in the upper
abdomen. He feels that this means that the disease is too far spread and surgery
would not eradicate it.
I am checking into a few other options and trying to stay focused on what is possible.
I am supposed to have chemo next week but will wait until I have a clearer picture.
In the meantime, there will be action letters and a petition posted on my homepage
shortly. Could you please send a letter to your mp, mpp and do a follow up phone
call? We are trying to ensure that the latest Cancer Care Ontario proposal to have
patients pay for unfunded drugs does not happen.
