Update Nov. 27, 2006

Hello! What a lovely spring day at the end of November.  I am loving it even though it is
not normal.

Since my last update, I have heard from the OHIP tribunal. They had negative
responses for my appeal to get reimbursed for my Erbitux expenses.  The reasons seem
to be focused upon a technicality of where I got the treatments.  I argue that I did
not receive the correct initial rejection letter which outlined the drug being the
problem not the facility.  Due to the media coverage that ensued, the Ombudsman
office contacted my lawyer and we all met last week.  They will be doing a full
investigation into my case with OHIP.

At the same time, I am preparing for this new drug trial and have a couple of tests to
complete this week.  I am anxious to get started on this and hold out some hope that
it will work.

I am feeling well physically.  I seem to be struggling with all of the activity and anxiety
about the big picture of my fight with cancer.  The one day at a time strategy and
little escapes here and there bring some relief.  It has been a long and challenging
journey and it takes a toll.

Please check out the latest media articles posted on the media link. As well, try to
find some time for the action requests on the home page.
